I cannot believe it is already 7:15 on Sunday night. Weekends these days just seem to be flying by. I guess having the whole-day-Saturday meetings for software engineering really kills a lot of my weekend. On the other hand, it is nice having such an awesome team that evenly divides the work. I also like that I can count on my other team members to do their 25%. Also, our project is really exciting too!
The world seems so different when I smile. Even through the tremendous and tough workload, I just keep looking forward and stay optimistic. This optimism and faith is what has gotten me through college, and the last few days have not been much different.I also realized that it is important to take a break once in a while; otherwise, it is just so hard to keep the smile on my face.
It is getting to be really busy these days: I have 4 tests within the span of a week coming up, so please do not expect any updates anytime soon. Moreover, my students also have a test on Tuesday (the day I have 2 of my tests). However, I have been spending a lot of time contemplating many different things. I really cannot wait for summer: I am so excited about starting my internship!
It is again at that time of semester when the first set of exams are rolling around. Next week, I have a grand total of 4 exams: 3 on 1 day! Well, 2 to take and 1 to proctor, but still, that means grading party afterwards, probably. Also, the deadlines for the first milestones of certain projects are coming up very soon too. I think I will start blogging about all of my projects.
Each week, the Minorities@CC are hosting some study sessions. Collaborate, enjoy, and learn while being productive. I guarantee that all of these people are amazing and really smart, so make sure you check it out at least once this semester. If you like it… you can continue going! :)
The long nights and time-consuming homework and projects are now starting to kick in. But, I realized one thing today: No matter how much work I have to do, having a wonderful friendship is something that I will always look forward to. Moreover, it is something that will always get me through the day/night. And that is what is making my life seem perfect now. :) It’s 2:28AM… career fair tomorrow.
“Being in Barcelona was just like a scene out of a movie… it was absolutely perfect.” Today was just full of reminiscing, as I kept the window open on a gorgeous day. Moreover, the sounds, breeze, everything… I felt like I was back in Residenc?a Onix again. Today was mostly-homework filled: Congratulations Djokovic–> first slam title at age 20, and he played a wonderful match! Also, I definitely made a new friend, and I pretty much spent all weekend, when I was not studying, talking with him, and he is totally the best… we have such fun conversations and tons of story-telling.
Happy Republic Day to all of my India friends. I am celebrating this by, first and foremost, wishing all of my friends a happy day. Secondly, I have been listening to songs from Indian movies. Mostly, it has been from Salaam Namaste and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. I love both movies: they are two of my favorite Indian movies. Anyway, the semester has started to pick up, but it still should not be as bad as the last few semesters.
Today has been a day of reminiscing. Two people that I have really wanted to spend some quality time with both (coincidentally and separately) said that we should get together sometime. I am really glad that they both mentioned that, because I was thinking about telling them the same. It will be like back in the old days (i.e. 1 or 1.5 years ago), where we were all so carefree, and we would always hang out, regardless of the insurmountable load of schoolwork.
Go Patriots!! They just won vs. San Diego Chargers (21-12), and they will try for a 19-0 perfect season at the Super Bowl on February 3rd. I am so excited! I also just found out that GT gets a TENNIS CHANNEL! That means I can watch Federer’s match tonight. Yay! :) The 16-hour difference between here and Australia is killing me, because that means I cannot watch any of the Australian Open matches live.
