I cannot believe how fast this vacation flew by. Spring semester starts on Monday, and I am leaving in two days. I decided that these last few days, despite the fact that I am not done reviewing all of the material for my interviews yet, I am not going to study at all. Since I will not see my family until March (Spring break) again, I am putting everything aside until Sunday.
I love vacation!! I think that pretty much sums up most of what I wanted to say. Dallas has been really nice and relaxing… today, we are going to see the Kennedy Assassination site, as well as the Dallas Museum of Art. Tomorrow, we are heading over to Austin. I cannot *wait* to see UT-Austin and the caves!!! One of these days, I will have to organize all of the pictures on my laptop, and then, you can see why I love these places too!
I am leaving in less than 1 hour to the airport for our family trip to Texas. I am so excited!! I can’t wait to get into the warmer weather, and it will be really nice to see all of our family friends too! :) Plus, we will get to see Dallas and Austin… I haven’t done any sightseeing since the summer, so it has been quite a while. Anyway, I am not sure when I will post again in the next week, but hopefully I can work in at least one post sometime while I am in Texas.
Yesterday was such an amazing day! I spent the morning uploading my resume to various company sites. I would love to work at Google and I would take the job without a single doubt, but I also know it is very tough to get in, so I have to keep realistic expectations. So, I also applied to Microsoft and Expedia. Plus, I sent my resume to a few local companies: ATechs and Pardot, where Brian works.
One of the (smaller) reasons that I went to GT was because I love the warm weather. Today, we got yet another snowstorm up here. I didn’t realize how much I missed the beauty of snow until I looked out of the window this morning. There is also over 2 feet of snow on the deck and no school for my little sister! It looks like we are getting a white Christmas… now that’s the holiday spirit!
So, as I took a 10-minute study break today, I fixed some really old websites that I made a long time ago so they have current information. Actually, I just re-direct them to my new website. It is really nice and makes for easy maintenance. Next order of business: Posting a page of links that I have collected over the last 7 years. It could take a while before I am finished, though.
Today *has* to be the best day of my life!! I checked my email around 3:00, and my DREAM company wants to interview me. I have a lot of studying to do, but I am really excited and motivated. I hope I do well. This would really be a dream come true for me!!! :) More later…
