London

Travel

My last 6 days in Europe, with one of the greatest friends that I have ever had (and will have). :) I have to say, it was quite an adventure, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The first night was kind of messy- literally. There were 4-foot high floods outside the airport, so we didn’t exactly get to make it to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premiere, but we still got fresh copies of the book the next day.

Madrid

Travel

Although the Barcelona program has officially ended, I took a 2-day trip to Madrid, with 3 awesome friends of mine. I have to admit, though, although I love all of Spain, Barcelona is still my favorite. But, Madrid comes a very-close second! ;) It was pretty much a 10-hour busride, and once we got there, we spent literally 24 hours in the city, and rode back to Barcelona. :) But, while we were there, we did a ton of sight-seeing.

Summer Workload

Life

I cannot believe the number of experiences that I am having in Barcelona… it is absolutely amazing! =) However, I cannot believe the amount of work that I have for one class: User Interfaces. I feel like I am learning a lot, but mostly only from the project. Having homework, midterm and final exams, reading, random other assignments, PLUS a huge project is just too much for a 7-week semester. Anyway, I guess I better get started (and also finish) that paper.

Again!

Travel

So, we already got one ten-day break from school. But now, imagine that after 2 weeks of school, you get a SECOND ten-day break. Life is perfect, right? :) RIGHT! This time, my friends & I took the week to travel around Italy. We went to 5 different cities: Rome, Vatican City, Florence, Pisa, and Venice. They were all great. Rome is, of course, rich in history, and it is amazing to see some of those Ruins, as well as the Colosseum still standing.

Quick Update

Travel

This is just going to be a very quick update. I just got back (late last night) from a week in Italy… it was absolutely amazing! :) There are some pictures up on Facebook, but I will eventually put them all up on Photobucket. I love traveling, and I am going to have a tough time getting back into the school mode. Anyway, off to finish off some other random odds & ends now.

Luck

Life

Why do I never get any? I don’t even know what else to say… I feel like everybody around me has got all of the luck in the world except for me. Just once… that is all I ask… please!

Class

Life

I should really be paying attention in class, but it is just so hard to pay attention! I have been really busy all morning and the entire past weekend, just working on a a class project. I cannot bring myself to listen to more lectures. The worst part is that it is just such a *BEAUTIFUL* day outside, and I have to be indoors! Anyway, it has been a very interesting day.

Busy

Life

I haven’t really had the time to write in here… I have started keeping a paper diary too. I feel that it is safer, and I cannot accidentally delete it anymore. Anyway, Barcelona still continues to amaze me every day. I will post again sometime soon, with a lot more detail. For right now, though, I had better finish this UI paper! Ciao!

Vacation

Travel

Imagine this: You are in Barcelona for the summer taking classes, although it feels like a vacation. After 3 weeks of class, you get TEN DAYS OFF- to go wherever you want, to do whatever you want, with practically no homework! If you want to talk about Cloud Nine, that is what I call Heaven. :) Well, I took the opportunity to go visit Munich, Germany and Paris, France. Munich was great- very much technology-saavy and reminded me a lot of the US.

Sagrada Familia

Travel

One of the greatest architects ever- right in Barcelona! :) This past weekend, we visited La Sagrada Familia- it really is amazing how inspiring different forms of art can be. If you are ever in Barcelona, make sure you visit this place- it is Barcelona’s #1 attraction. Not only is the architecture amazing, but it’s truly phenomenal what a man with a vision can do (Hopefully, the construction will be finished the next time I go to visit).
