Four seems to be the magic number of the day! 4 is the number of days I’ve been working on this one thing at work. 4 is the number of games the Celtics won to reach… THE NBA FINALS!!!!! :D and… 4 is the round number which Federer just entered, by beating Ancic at the French Open. Yup, it’s been a good day in Sports! :D Allez Federer and cannot wait to see you in the French Open finals a week from Sunday (hopefully)!
This is just a quick update: I finally finished the askeet tutorial, so I will begin working on Prospect Insight (PI) stuff now!! :) Right now, I am working on a word wrap for emails. According to one of my fellow interns, the email system is the most developed part. In other news, I am playing for the Hannon Hill tennis team, and my first match is Monday, so I am really excited!!
I have successfully completed my first full week at work. It was soooo good, and I cannot wait to go back again: it is going to be a great summer! :) Anyway, this is just a quick website update: I have restored all of the pictures that keep getting lost with each updated version of WordPress: it will not happen anymore! Woohoo! :) Also, the picture on the sidebar is back, as well.
Today was my first day at work, and it was totally awesome! :) I got in around 9:15 and left around 5:30. I think it really helped that one of my good friends is now also a co-worker of mine: it calmed down my nerves quite a bit. Anyway, I spent most of today just configuring the computer so that I could finally see Prospect Insight (PI). PI is essentially Pardot‘s product, and after I finally got everything configured, I could see why it sells well and is absolutely amazing.
Today has really been just a day of exploring around San Francisco. We visited the Golden Gate Bridge, as well as the Fisherman’s Wharf (which is way too hyped up). I also realized that I really miss a good public transportation system, which is something that Barcelona had. Going around San Francisco also made me realize how much I missed traveling. Anyway, below is a picture of the bridge. Also, I think the title behind this post is a funny one.
We are back again for another fun-filled day of learning at JavaOne! :D The talks today were pretty awesome too, but my favorite ones were Asynchronous Ajax for Revolutionary Web Applications and What?s New in Ajax. Anyway, this will be a short post, because it’s been a busy day. Also, we spent a lot of time in the Pavilion area, just browsing all of the different companies (and of course, like all of the developers there, trying to get our fair share of free stuff).
Today is officially the first day of JavaOne! :) Yaaaaaaay!! It’s really been awesome! :) The opening general session is in this huuuuuuuge room, and they have like break-dancers and other performers before the session actually starts. Then, John Gage came on stage and introduced Rich Green, who showed us some of the newer technologies that are coming out (with back or front-end Java implementation, of course :)), and they are soooooooo cool!!
We are finally here! Woohoo! :) It’s been a while since I had a chance to update. But basically, one of my good friends and I are here for the week to attend the annual JavaOne Developer’s Conference. Sun Microsystems was really awesome and decided to give out FREE STUDENT PASSES this year to both JavaOne and CommunityOne (the one-day event before JavaOne). Anyway, we missed most of CommunityOne, because by the time our flight came in and we got to the Moscone Center, it was almost 3PM.
“I’ll play if you play,” he said to her. “Of course I will play,” she responded. Two hours later, he came up behind her, startling her. And yet, there was something that made her not pull away… something that made her lean back into him. In that moment, it would have seemed perfect. “If I didn’t have… I would sweep you up,” he said to her. She smiled inside, thinking to herself, “Well, maybe you should put down the camera and do just that.” In that moment, it would have seemed perfect.
