1 down, 1 to go. This semester has definitely had its share of ups and downs, but overall, I think I really found a balance that made me pretty happy, between school, work, and social life. Let’s not talk about sleep. I am really looking forward to my first summer of no studying. My summer after freshman year, I took courses at home and transferred credit. Last summer, I was in Barcelona (doing the study abroad program).
I think the title gives it away, but adding 3 more chapters to study (with tons of formulas in them and no formula sheet) less than 2 days before the final exam (8AM Monday morning)!!!! It’s so unreasonable! I will be insanely stressed and busy through Monday, and after that, it’s free for Tuesday/Wednesday, final Thursday, and then, that’s it! :) Sorry about not being able to post more often, but this will be fixed soon.
The feeling of accomplishment is absolutely unable to be replicated. It is just an amazing feeling when hard work finally pays off. I have always wondered what it feels like to win that Olympic Gold. I think I have finally felt as close as I will come to that. I feel that I have struck gold this semester: these last few (and next few days) are filled with awards luncheons and recognition.
As part of the Student Organizations team, I participated in Relay For Life. It was a ton of fun and I cannot wait again to participate in it next year. We raised a lot of money too, and Google donated over $30,000 just to the Georgia Tech Relay For Life, so I am really happy! :)
Having support from family and friends is the most amazing thing in the world. Starting from Monday night, it has just been an amazing! First, I have been really on top of most things academically… although I am not feeling all that prepared for the test on Friday. On top of that, all of my students seem to be doing well in the course I TA, so it is pretty awesome!
Today (well, yesterday officially) was yet another Telugu New Year. Happy Ugadi to all! Unfortunately, I had too much work to do, but I am happy that my family was at least able to celebrate and go to temple. It is occasions like this where I really miss being at home. There is a great Indian community at GT and I totally love it, but home is home. More later, though (since it is 3:10AM).
Talk about an amazing day! I think that must have been today. Actually, this week in general has been great: I have been trying to get back into the swing of things, and it has been a good week for that. Having said that, however, I have soooooo much due for next week that this weekend is going to be very much work-filled. CoCaesar’s Palace was a huge success yesterday, and it was a ton of fun!
It has been quite a busy 2 days. However, lots of good things have come out of it! Having a break from school is so refreshing. It really increases your productivity level a lot, when you are well-rested, pay attention in classes, and actually have energy to keep on going. Also, most of my assignments got pushed to next week, so I am happy that I have a week to kind of settle in.
